  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the cold, cubed unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
